This is one of my first projects done while training in south india. I was requested by the head of Sri Narasingha Chaitanya Ashram to design, sculpt and oversee the metal casting and finishing of these deities of Sri Gaura Gadhadhara.
The full process took 6 months; starting with the initial drawing, from which the wax forms were sculpted. Next the clay molds are prepared and heated to release the wax (lost wax) and the molten metal is cast. Finally the surface is cleaned and the designs engraved.
The deities are installed and being worshipped at the Sri Narasingha Chaitanya Arsham in Srirangapattnam, Karnataka.
